Mike Blacksmith, is a German kid from San Diego who grew up surfing and skating in the 70’s and 80’s. Mike spent 16 years as the CEO of one of the most influential, inclusive, compassionate, and health-focused companies in the Adult Industry and along the way to becoming a CEO helped companies like Apple, Microsoft, Nike, Ebay, Grey Goose Vodka, Nixon, HP, and many more grow, strengthen, and evolve their brand. How did he do it, he did it from stories. Stories echo our past and divine our future, they are erased and rewritten, they come from everything and everybody, they make us, well, us.

Mike is the Southwest Person of Leather, the Nevada Person of Leather. He was awarded the President’s Award from the NLA. He has been in the world of leather and BDSM for almost 36 years.

Mike Blacksmith was initiated in the late 1980’s San Francisco and Sacramento Men’s Leather scene and he has 34 years of leather community involvement playing, speaking, and teaching all around the globe. He learned how to use a single tail by fiercely attacking rouge fruit trees in San Diego from whips that had be purchased in Tijuana, bootblacking as a child when baseball shoes without a high shine meant escaping running extra laps. He learned rope in the late 90’s under the guidance of J. Edwards, and served as the CEO of Tantus, Inc. for 16 years. Mike is the current 2018 Nevada Person of Leather and the current 2019 Southwest Person of Leather as well as the recipient of the 2018 National Leather Association International Presidents Award. Mike is a covered Master, uses the pronouns He/ Him, and prefers to be addressed as Mike.
