Mike Blacksmith

Mike Blacksmith was initiated in the late 1980’s San Francisco and Sacramento Men’s Leather scene and he has 34 years of leather community involvement playing, speaking, and teaching all around the globe. He learned how to use a single tail by fiercely attacking rouge fruit trees in San Diego from whips that had be purchased in Tijuana, bootblacking as a child when baseball shoes without a high shine meant escaping running extra laps. He learned rope in the late 90’s under the guidance of J. Edwards, and served as the CEO of Tantus, Inc. for 16 years. Mike is the current 2018 Nevada Person of Leather and the current 2019 Southwest Person of Leather as well as the recipient of the 2018 National Leather Association International Presidents Award. Mike is a covered Master, uses the pronouns He/ Him, and prefers to be addressed as Mike.
