Presenter: Switch Jake
Switch Jake has been an active member of the BDSM community since 2001. Long ago, he came out to his parents, only to be asked to leave the family and never return. In that difficult time, the BDSM community provided him with purpose and belonging. He has carried that support forward and hopes the community is proud of who he has become. As an educator, he has traveled throughout the United States and Canada, sharing insights on a wide range of topics. Beyond BDSM-specific venues, Switch Jake has also spoken at colleges and universities, educating any group interested in learning more about BDSM and leather lifestyles. As an entertainer, he hosts a BDSM podcast called “Kink in the Chain,” where he goes by the pseudonym Rope Squirrel. There, he offers relationship advice and interviews people of interest within kink, BDSM, and leather communities. As a leader, Switch Jake currently serves as one of the directors for High Elevation Colorado Kink (HECK), overseeing the organization’s website, managing payment services, and stepping in wherever else he can help. He also handles finances, taxes, and all the administrative tasks that keep things running smoothly. In addition, he’s on staff at the Denver Sanctuary, leading discussion groups, training DMs, hosting parties, and providing general support for the community.
