Voodoo Leatherworks

House rules for safer play

These rules apply throughout HECK at Voodoo Leatherworks. Read them before you arrive, respect the space and the people in it, and ask a Dungeon Monitor whenever you are unsure.

Everyone who enters the space is responsible for knowing and following these rules. Dungeon Monitors may intervene whenever safety or consent is in question.

Red means stop

The default safeword ends unwanted activity immediately, anywhere in the space.

Consent is required

Every person involved must consent. Never involve bystanders or observers without permission.

DMs have final say

Dungeon Monitors may stop any scene they consider unsafe or abusive. Do not argue with them.

Dungeon Monitors and safety

  • Dungeon Monitors have the final word. They may stop anything they consider an unsafe or abusive scene. They are here for your safety; do not argue with them.
  • Check in with a Dungeon Monitor before moving furniture yourself.
  • Inspect equipment before use.
  • All activities conducted on or off the premises are at each member’s own risk. Some activities are inherently dangerous and may risk a member’s physical, emotional, or psychological health.

Inside the play space

  • Keep the play space quiet. Discussions can be distracting and dangerous; move them to the social area.
  • Beds and couches in the play area are primarily for aftercare.
  • Clean up your play area and move toward the aftercare spaces as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Do not sit on dungeon furniture to watch or socialize.
  • Do not interrupt or crowd scenes.
  • Consensual sex is allowed at all Dungeon Parties.
  • Not permitted: scat, watersports, asphyxiation or strangulation, firearms, or cross-contamination of body fluids.
